When a disaster such as fire damage or water damage affects your belongings, the disaster recovery specialists at Laurens Restoration, Inc. are highly qualified to repair and store your contents. First we start by assigning you a Project Manager who will assess your loss. Since every loss is different we must perform what we call a scope. A scope helps us determine the best course of action to take with the situation and also answer any questions you may have. From there we will set-up scheduling. During this process we use our experience to decide how many days we will need to work in your home, the size of crew necessary, the amount of boxes needed to pack your contents, the size of truck necessary and all supplies required.
Our next step is the pre-pack and pack out of your belongings. When our crew is at your residence they will begin to pack your small contents. They will carefully wrap and box these items using bubble wrap and packing paper to ensure everything is properly spaced and secured. For your larger contents we wrap them in furniture pads and secure them with plastic stretch wrap. During this time your Project Manager, whom you had met with during the initial scope, will be inventorying your large and valuable contents; such as furniture and electronics. This includes writing down specific information detailing information pertaining, but not limited to: fabric, material, size, color, make, model, etc.
When packing is completed, we are ready to pack out your residence. This is when we send our moving trucks to load your contents and bring them back to our warehouse where they will be stored on-site in a highly secure, climate controlled space. From there our technicians very carefully hand clean each and every item. Fire damaged contents will go through an ozone process that will ensure your contents are not only clean, but also odor-free.
We will store your contents until the construction and repairs are completed on your residence. As soon as your repairs are 2 weeks away from completion, you may call our office to set up the move back of your contents. When we return your contents we will reassemble large furniture pieces and place all boxes in the appropriate rooms they were removed from.
